At My Right Hand Man, you are only charged for the actual man hours it takes to complete your job. Many companies will quote you a fixed rate for a job. In doing so, they look at your job and base their price on the worst case scenario, meaning their price is going to be inflated. We approach jobs as efficiently as possible and we only charge for the work that we do. We will also communicate with you every step of the way so that you know exactly what you are paying for and there wont be any misunderstandings or surprises. With My Right Hand Man it’s very easy to stick to your budget.
Our company also only charges you for the exact cost of materials. Some handyman companies mark-up their materials thereby increasing your costs. We’ll even share receipts with you so that you are confident that we are charging you for only what the materials cost. If you prefer to save even more money you may wish to purchase the materials on your own and have them ready for our men when they arrive at your home. This way you don’t have to pay for the time that it takes for us to go to purchase the materials at the store. Having said that, a lot of customers will go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and purchase the supplies and have us just go by and pick them up. In this case, they are only paying us for half an hour or so and they don’t have to deal with transporting the materials to their home.
Our minimum labor charge is only 1 hour after which we then charge in 30 minute increments. If you have a small job, make a list of other jobs that the handyman can do with the remainder of the hour that you are being billed. Most customers find that we can often fix or repair 3 or 4 items during our initial hour appointment. Of course we are always willing and eager to tackle those honey-do lists that take a half day or more. In fact, our average job is just under 4 hours long.
